I have an 89 bronco with a 302, i don't know what kind of tranny it has, but i do know its stock, as i am the second owner, i am getting new rear quarter panle for christmas:-X12 so does anybody know where a good place to get them for cheap would be??
Ok, next question, when i am driving down the road, and the bronco switches to overdrive, it feels like it is gonna shake me out of it, i was told the was the tourque converter, i have the tranny out for a rear main seal right now, should i change it to see if it helps? Also when i give it gas it hesitates for a full second, then goes, but throughtout RPMs, it sounds like it has a miss, what could that be?? Any help is appreciated, All of the guys with the horror stories of parts and labor costing more than the truck, i feel for you, but i do all the labor myself, and i have to pay for parts!!, So Please help, i have to drive an S-10 till i get the bronco done!!
I don't trust sheet metal from anywhere but Ford, and their prices can sometimes surprise you - I bought an OEM front fender for $30 less than any aftermarket supplier; even mail-order!
The only exception is the JCW '83-96 Bronco tailgate, which I've installed and found to be high quality.
ummm guys, that didn't helo me out at all, i mean, i know where to get fenders now, but what about all my other questions, i love to drive it, but i don't have it
For the miss, with your bronc idling pull spark plug wires off your distrubuter one at a time, if the idle does not change when you pull one of them off, than that cylinder is not firing. Check spark plug and do a pressure test on that cylinder, if it doesn't hold pressure than you could have a burned up valve. If it does hold pressure check the spark and make sure the injetor is firing.
