Well I asked a lotof folks a few years ago about the zoodad, and if it made a difference. For the most part I got a "I haven't seen any difference in mileage or performance" Well today I did the zoodad, for as a lot of yo knowI just upgraded my turbo to the turbonetics. Well I am telling you it may not make a difference on the stock turbo with a WW. But it makes about 2lbs of boost difference. throughout the entire range with a big turbo. now we will have to run a few tanks of fuel through it for a mileage test.
How does the zoodad increase boost by 2 psi? All that mod is doing is getting cooler air to the filter. Now once it crosses the intercooler - where boost is supposed to be measured - you might see a spike in average psi, but I suspect that's all Turbonetics.
I don't doubt you at all, and I am not trying to call you out. It doesn't make sense to me.
No I fully agree it is the turbonetics. That is what I am saying is the stock turbos were not seing much i any change but the 4 inch turbo intakealong with the 91mm impeller vs. the 80mm stocker/WW. The turonetics is making good use of the freeir flowing air
I did the zoo dad years ago and during a long road trip last year,,after about 500 miles of non-stop driving in the rain my AIS filter was soaked. That was the only time i had that problem. I also have the hole covered with screen along with the back side of my grille also. Never could figure out why that one time it got soaked.
