PMS has set in

Well i bought a 2001 f250 PSD, not even 2 weeks ago yet and I just want to thank everyone because i already have installed the 6637, zoodad, wicked wheel, High Pressure oil crossover and my exhaust and gauges should be here today or tom. The only thing i have to complain about is the worse gas mileage.
Oh yeah and over the past few days i forgot my truck had a radio because i have been listening to the WW sing all day.

If u remove the ugly insulating wrap on the hot IC pipe the WW will get louder.

Hotel PMS. You can check, or check out, but you can never leave.
Anyone here think that removing the foil would make it obnoxious to a wife with very sensitive hearing?
I've been thinking about doing it, but don't want to have to buy another one because my wife is going crazy from the music.

I' ve read a couple of your other posts where you mentioned her heightend sense of hearing. I mean,my wife gripes from time to time about riding in "the loud old truck" , and constantly is amazed that I can actually hear and comprehend my customers orders when they call me and I am driving around. She says she can't think sraight in my truck due to the engine noise.
I just tell her its something that I have gotten used to, and can seperate the truck noise from the phone noise.

kwikk, I just took a road trip last weekend after doing the 6637 mod. My early 99 has the WW type wheel stock and I have removed the IC foil.. My wife's hearing is very good, unfortunately and she complained about the turbo sound. Especially when the truck was under a load there is a sustained high pitched whistle from the turbo..Not sure how things are going to play out in my future due to that extra noise, I may have to re wrap the IC pipe.

That's what I thought. Thanks for the confirmation. The foil will have to stay on mine.

Yea Kwikk even with the AIS (Feneder Sleeved) I still get a fairly pronounced whistle with a stock wheel. Music to my ears BUT, not every one.

I agree with you. I also have the AIS without the fender sleeve. No problems and just the right amount of turbo noise.
