When I was a child, a tornado hit the north side of the small town in which I lived. The destruction was terrible. One cannot imagine the damage that it did. There were a few fatalities, but we were all lucky.
God bless the people in Florida, and they need all the help they can get, and as soon as they can get it.
We're not really geared for tornado's down here, no sirens, no nothing. We do have plenty of mobile home communities which tornado's seem to like. Why is that?
We were very lucky. The storms passed through here with only watches and a ton of much needed rain. The tornado's hit about 25 miles SE of us.
I sure hope the death toll stops where its at (20).
Our thoughts and prayers are with those poor people.
