You can buy an upgraded wiring harness, which simply has heavier wire and supplies more juice to your headlights. I have an '03 and when I first bought it I installed Syvania Silverstar bulbs. Great improvement. Some say they don't last but I've only had to replace one in the last 2.5 years. They are good WHITE light, not blue like some aftermarket bulbs. Some have even converted to HID lights, but I can't see that expense for my uses. Is this type of stuff what you mean?

If you can get a set of the newer jewel styled ('02-'04 I think) with the Silverstar bulbs and the upgraded harness is a great combinantion. The lights are OEM so fit and quality isn't an issue. The harness is top quality as well.

I JUST did the wiring harness and silverstars.... good improvement for the cost..
THEN heard about www.hidfoglight.com and for just a bit more money could have gone to hid's !!!!

I don't know if they've improved and I'm going to look at that HID site you list......but when people were first putting out HID kits for our trucks, they weren't all that great. A lot of folks said the light pattern was terrible and it was hardly a quality HID system like you'd see standard on a car nowadays. But HID lighting sure is awesome!
Just looked at that site. Those might be cool for auxiliary lighting and whatnot, but you don't want to replace your main headlights with any of those kits, that's for sure. There are a few companies out there that put out REAL replacement kits for your headlights, but I think you'd be talking a grand or a couple grand for the real thing.

Actually a group on another site got the 35w hids from there and love em...
one or two got the 50w.... I think the only issue was the base of the ballast on the bulb required widen then hole just a tad...

I'm pretty skeptical, I guess it's from seeing all the little rice burners with the stupid looking HIDS that just look like crap. Would like to see some personally on one of our trucks, sure would be nice to have!

I put projectors in my 01 F250. Pics in gallery. Not HID, but nice. H1 bulbs. They are bright and focused light. High beams are super bright with same bulb. Install took some modification to the headlight housing but I'm happy with them.
