motor mounts question

Can anyone tell me if the motor mounts for a 351M/400 in an '82 E350 would be the same parts for the same engine in a Bronco or F-series pickup of the same year? Thanx!

It's possible. The way to tell is to check parts america or napa. They can tell you what other vehicles they fit.

no love there. napa doesn't list my motor for my year van, and partsamerica doesn't list any parts at all for my year/engine combo.

my parts list sheet shows pn's EOUZ6038A and 6038B for R/L "Mount, Front Support',
but i'm not sure thats the right thing (no picture or other description) and i don't have any bronco or pickup parts list to compare to...

One of the sites had them. The vans were all the same from '73 or to '92 so you can use the motor mounts from any of the years. It runs in my mind that Parts america showed one at one time. It's been a while so I may be wrong. It could have been the "zone" too. You'll have to look online though. If the counter guys don't think they can get it a lot of times they won't even look.

Autozone lists it, and no it's not the same as the truck.

Exclamation 1980/82 351M/400 M/Mounts

1980/82 F100/350 & Bronco take the same mounts. Econoline is different.

1980/82 Ford F100/350 & Bronco 351M/400

E1TZ-6038-A .. Motor Mount .. R/S
E1TZ-6038-B .. Motor Mount .. L/S

************************************************** **

1980/82 Econoline E150/350 351M/400

E0UZ-6038-A .. Motor Mount R/S
E0UZ-6038-B .. Motor Mount L/S

1982 was the last year for 351M/400 Engines.

Autozone DOES list the motor mounts, and you can order them online. It only lists the driver's side which leads me to believe they are interchangeable.

They may only list the drivers side because that's all they can get. Ford says they're different R/L...I posted the part numbers, so....

Econoline vans DO NOT use the same motor mounts from 1973 up. The 1969/74 Econoline is a completly different vehicle than a 1975 and later. Not one body or frame part is the same.

Econolines 1969/74 use the (200 I-6 thru 1970), 240 I-6 and 302 V8 engine only. 351W's and 460's were used on 1975 and later vans with 351M's and 400's at a later date.

Bill, a LOT of time when they can only get one side or the other it's because they are the same part for both. I bet if you had two of them and compared them they would be the same. There was another guy on here recently that asked the same question and upon further investigation after he got the mounts they do indeed interchange side to side.

OK, I surrender...but just a bit. I have seen aftermarket mounts that are the same L/R, tho not these mounts. I'd still be hesitant using aftermarket stuff unless it was all I could get.

I bought the mounts from Autozone for my 82 E350 with a 400. They only listed one side but they turned out to be the same for both sides. Their bracket is ok but not made quite right. The tabs that have the studs on them aren't quite set at the right angle and it makes it very difficult to install the mounts. John
