I'm going to swap out the turbo pedistal on my truck for a non-EBP unit, but I need the sizes of all the upper and lower o-rings. If I remember correctly I think there are 4 of them.
Alan, those are the exact o-rings I need. I just need to know what size. I have a big bag of viton o-rings sitting in my garage right now, but I'm not sure if I have the correct sizes.
Y'know, given the usury markup that both Ford and other vendors get for o-rings, we need to start an o-ring "registry" for those used in the 7.3's.
O-rings are measured by nominal "inside diameter" and "cross-section" or material thickness, thus the ones we use for the yellow fuel drain valve would be measured as 1/4" x 1/8". O-rings are also sized by the AS568A number. http://www.pspglobal.com/o-ring-sizes.html is a pretty good index on the web.
So, does anyone want to start a new thread specifically to collect sizing information about the rings used in the 7.3?

Hey guys... I am replacing the two o rings in the fuel bowl shut valve and trying to insert the new o rings into the black housing and they don't seem to fit.. too large on the outside diameter by .028 using my digital calipers.. Are you suppose to force them in? They don't flex much, being that they are so hard.. What am I doing wrong? Using McMaster-Carr p/n 202 viton. The recess hole for the o ring measures .484 in diameter and the new o rings measure .512. (the old factory o ring measures .489 or .005 larger the recess hole)
