You got it. You got to be one with them to understand them... lol... It is amazing when they walk with in a few feet of you. The bear we saw on the way out. I only ran into one on a trail a while back. It was a cub so I immediately started looking for mamma. Ever since then we only see them driving out. Once I was on my motorcycle and the wife was in the car. She was worried about me but I was not. It did not help that we saw I bike wreck earlier in the week where the bike hit a bear. The bear won and he was pretty hurt. I even moved his bike off the road to a pull off. It needed some work after that spill. Anyways, ever since I got my new camera I never let it go. I love to take pictures and I took almost 100 of them during that weekend. Now my camper is being repaired. I took it in for a recall and rubbed the awning against a tree. Really bummed but was can you do. Hope to get it back soon.
We got back Monday from Shanandoah and had a great time. Lots of deer and wild life walking through the camp sites. Even a skunk one night!!!!! We even got to see a bear on our way out. Got some great pics, I will post them when I figure out how to.
Hey Jamie, What Campground did you stay at? We are going down there on Aug. 4th for a week. We are staying at Jellystone park in Luray.
We stayed up on Skyline drive at Big Meadows. The campgrounds off of Skyline have lots of things for the kids but up the mountain is the best in my opinion. They don't have hook ups so everything is battery. It is so quiet and there are lots of trails to walk. I can explain more if you want to contact me by phone some time. It is a place that will always be my favorite.
We just got back today from Frontier Town: http://www.frontiertown.com/areaattractions.cfm
It is a great place for the Kiddies, they had a blast. The water park is pretty cool, they have movie night & Hay Rides, cowboy shows and cowboys & Indians. Only problem is, the place is hard to get in to. Just keep calling for a cancellation.

That is good to hear. I've been calling around for anything for this weekend and tried as a last resort Frontier town and they just had a cancellation! So we're off to OC this weekend!
it is a good time, but that is one BUSY campground. The best thing is the pools for the kiddies, they are large and it is easy to keep track of them while they are playing.
