i've been very happy with the boxes i made. see the links in my sig for an example. it's got the function of a tonneau but the versatility of taking them out quickly and having a full bed. did both boxes for ~$350.
I'm also looking for a cover for my truck. 06 Screw with the 6.5" flareside bed. I'm having a hard time finding one for the flareside. Any suggestions? What's everyone using?
Thanks, Dayne
What have you looked at? Have you contacted any companies? I'd recommend Access, since it's what i've had and used since 2003.
I see they only show it for the Reg Cab/ Supercab, but aren't the flareside beds the same on all cab sizes. Must be truxcedo shows fullsize flareside only. So you have a choice of a regular Access or the literider from my research. I'd recommend getting it from truck alterations, by phone call, the blue print is suprizingly true.
I don't know if you're just interested in soft or are considering a hard cover but I have a "fold-a-cover" and it's awsome. Low profile, locks front and back, tri-folding, can be removed in a couple minutes loosening 4 screws and can support over 200 pounds on top. It also seems to keep out the weather nice. Been through the car wash and nothing got in and also took a trip to Pennsylvania during blizards and none of the snow pilled on the bed leaked inside when it mounted. I did a search on google when I was shopping for mine and found one for a little over $400. More then a soft cover but with the locks it keeps stuff secure back there.
