The 3" body lift will help a lot. You should see how tight the factory installation is. I have a hard time believing that you could upgrade your downpipe from the factory 2 1/4 to 3" without a body lift. It is just too tight to the firewall.

When I refurbished my winter ride I stripped the truck to the frame. I installed neoprene body mounts and an additional inch lift. Mostly to be able spray water up and into the nooks and crannies. What a difference and inch made just to get the air cleaner off! I can't imagine changing over to a turbo setup on a stock cab mount. When they did the down pipe upgrade on the 95-97 PSD you had to cut the floor away to fit the pipe and the stock pipe was flat just to fit in the truck!
