Remote start key fob
The remote start unit that is on my key ring all of a sudden quit working. Installed a new battery, tried it again and still would not work. Checked the system out with the other unit and everything works fine, so I asumed that the one that quit working lost its memory. Went to the store where I bought the system and they have closed the doors and are out of business. This morning I though, what the heck,...pushed the doorlock button on the unit that quit and now it's come to life...everything works.
Do you suppose that by installing the new battery, that it took some time for it to "energize" it's self and recall it's memory? Just curious if any of you have had the similar situation. Thanks

I'm not sure about the root cause of this problem, but if you determine that you want to replace the remote, I found dealers on eBay who sell brand new ones for a fraction of what the dealer sticks you for. I bought one and it works fine, no problems.
