I also vote the charcoal gray metallic. I just Duplicolored a header p[anel to get me through winter, the closest match was a GM listing for charcoal gray metallic, now I want the whole truck that color. Its awesome out of a spray can at 40 degrees, imagine what the real thing at a body shop would look like.
I'll donate to your BOB's truck fund as soon as i finish all the donation's to TROY's
truck fund, and im tellin ya dont wait around, i've got a long way to go.
Those air brushed flames in any color combination would look good, you could
also off set the cost by painting your truck white and then applying a color flames,
seen it looks good.
A few years ago I painted my race car metallic silver with a few drops of green in it.
I don't think I've ever heard so many good comments about a paint color.
Or like my truck about 25 years ago.......

Always remember, the darker the color the more obvious any ripples or dings in the body become. Unless you are going to spend a lot of time (and $$$$) blocking the truck, I would recommend a light silver or white. Nothing looks worse than a new dark colored paint job over poor bodywork.
I do think a darker metallic paint would go well with your inside since you painted it a darker color. But I don't think you can go wrong with a metallic gray or silver for your scheme.
The dark shadow grey is a current f series choice. I just double checked on fords site. Whatever color you choose post pics for us to see. I love the 79 body style ,my first truck was a 79 f100. Someday I'll have another one as soon as the kids are on their own.
