what happened to my whistle? please help

ok, so this morning i go out and start my truck and it starts just fine, but then it makes a weird sound, like the exhaust just got plugged, it seemed to idle ok, and seems to run somewhat like normal, but what i mostly have noticed is that i no longer hear the turbo whistle at idle and i cannot hear it when im driving around. I have always been able to hear it very well up until this morning. If i roll the window down i can hear it slightly, but no where near what it used to be. It has always screamed before, i have a 2003 6.0 with a muffler delete, otherwise it is bone stock. any ideas as to what this may be? anything i can check? thanks in advance.

Do you have a boost gauge? If so, look and see if your getting any boost while driving around. If it was a turbo problem you would think that there would be a huge loss of power, such as turbo lag, only all the time.

i have a quadzilla commander that does all the monitoring as far as gauges go, but i dont know how much i trust it. It has been acting up latley. but it does show boost, maybe even a little more than normal, not for sure since i havent really watched it as closely as i have the last couple days. could it be caused by a cracked y pipe? if so how can i tell if its cracked?

vanes may be coking a bit, but you should also have a loss of power... is your air filter dirty??

First guess here would be turbo, check boost. Then check air filter, then the cat. But all should show some sort of power loss. Needs to breath in and out for PSD to run good. My 7.3 would whistle loud when everything was running good. On my 6.0 it's much quieter, but then it's all stock.
Again, it's just my guess here.
