This weekend i removed the front clip from my 1966 F100 swb 352 4spd custom cab. started to clean the firewall and got carryed away and dugout all the seam sealent It wasent very hard and most of it just fell off WELL, i know the Factory workers applyed that stuff right to the Bear Metal. My plan is to sand blast seams to remove Minor rust, then use Epoxy Primer and then ,,seal all the seams and follow up with finish coats of paint What is the stuff called you would use to seal the seams Looks pink to me Thanks for help Bill W
Find an auto body paint supply store in your area. They have some stuff used for this express purpose. It comes in a tube like caulking and you use a regular caulking gun to put it in. It's easy to use...
Hope this helps you.

A man that teaches an auto body class that my daughter took a few years
ago said to use a product called "" FUSOR '' for the body seams, but I know
the stuff on the firewall is almost spongy and soft if I remember right!

Seam seal comes in water soluable and non water soluable. The water soluable is easier to work with but dries out sooner and is more prone to shrinking. I've used both types.
