Edge products

Anyone like or dislike the Edge Products?

A really onle care about monitering my Boost Pressure and EGT. Looks like the Edge is more than I need. But, you know how it goes, if you have it you might just use it.

What are you guys using?

Follow up here...

Does anyone just make a monitering device. Like a screen version of three or four gauges.

This is my real goal here is to have a high tech set of gauges...

These guys are talking about using the Bullydog Outlook monitor without any enhancments:

I'd like to have the Banks PDA setup, but it can't be used stand-alone, so this will be my next choice.

MSD list it as a new part, The Dash Hawk. It looks to much like an attitude to not be made by the same manufacture. It just reads, no writing.

I’m using Volvo accessories. It’s quite the highest quality for me.

ReAX,
You are 110% correct. Check the MSD web site and you will see that MSD and Edge Products are most definitely affiliated along with Superchips and RacePak. I say good call on your part!!

I have learned this week, not only are they affiliated, but they are about to introduce a beautiful price mapping and dealer program. The program is for all of those product lines.

Just for everyone's info. A year or so ago, when they changed thier website, MSD and superchips was bought by sometype of telecommunications company. I didn't know about edge until this new dealer program came alone.

Gervis,
What planet are you from?? The web site you gave has NOTHING to do with Volvo parts for Ford Trucks. Everything is aftermarket, available anywhere cheaper!!

I think that part is a volvo aftermarket part that fits anything.

Beltronics makes several accelerometers, if you want cheaper. http://www.beltronics.com/fx.html

I have been debating what to do about gauges for a while now. I would like to be able to monitor voltage, tranny temp, egt, oil and fuel pressure and temp, and other things but I don't want to have a bunch of gauges all over the place. I'd also like to keep my drivers grab handle. If this can really show me all this information I may have to start shopping for one. Are there any mounts made for it? Does anyone know what all it takes to install? I am specifically interested in the pyro and tranny temp info. Do you have to drill and tap the manifold to get the pyro reading from this? Same with tranny temp, do you have to install a sensor in the transmission?

Perhaps I was a little harsh, but my god shopping at a Volvo site for Ford Parts??
Anyway I've seen it cheaper ($299.00).
But with the Edge being only $50.00 more and has most of the same displays plus tunablility, I think that would be the way to go.
Also how is the Hawk mounted? The Edge comes with a mounting pod specifically for the vehicle.

I don't know, I haven't sold one to look at it yet. I too think it's too expensive for not tuning, but it's an option.
