The filter is located at the opening in the header panel right where the air enters from outside the truck. At speed you have a constant flow of outsde air right into the filter. If the air is going to get warm, it will be from the filter back to the tb in the piping not at the filter, more so when the filter is surounded with a sealed airdam. It forms a box at the air opening from the outside.
