CND i believe that they would be more functional as a "exhaust" for hot underhood air. You know it's funny, it's so tight in that engine bay, they probably HAD to do something to get some heat out of that engine compartment!
In the Missouri forum, one of the members there is an ase master tech & fmc master tech. He now has access to the 08 6.4 workshop manuals. In the dtc section there are a few new ones---like p167f (non-oem calibration detected). I wonder how that will affect the tuners?
Thats me! Gentlemen, make your modification decisions wisely. Ford knew there was problems with the 6.0, so at times, they would turn a blind eye to some "questionable" warranty claims. There isnt going to be that many problems with this motor. All the 6.0 issues have been addressed with this one. There will be ZERO tolerance to modifications. If there is any "glitches" in aftermarket programming where they can be seen---its going to cost you a lot of money. All of the information doesnt clear any more by disconnecting the batteries.

That makes sense, a couple of exhaust fans running out those vents would be cool if you coulf fit em.
I think I read that they were for exhaust cooling during the DPF regeneration cycles.
The exhaust is double walled, and shielded well. The exhaust tips are designed to dissipate heat as well. Its hot enough that we had metal hoses on the exhaust in the shop, and still could smell the galvanizing cooking when it went into regen.
I'm guessing there will be a few that say screw the warranty and mod the heck out of them though.
I am sure, but they have more money than I do. I cant wait to test drive one of these. If at stock, it moves like my truck does now, that would be great.
I just looked at my post i relized that i said twins when i meant compounds. 38Psi is almost twice the boost these motors were putting out stock, imagine them chipped(45-50psi??)
