6.0 junk?

i dont hear too much stuff on here about 6.0 problems. i know here in western wa alot of people dont like them. even the local ford garage always has one coming in on a tow truck. my dad has had his in there a couple times. most everyone is waiting to see if the 6.4 is any better or not. but there are the people that love them too. the 7.3 is the best motor they ever had in my opinion. out here we use our trucks in the woods for work and play alot, and everywhere in between. not just on the highway.
anyhow just was laying out my thoughts.

Your right. The other companies don't have any problems with thier trucks. It's only Ford. It's also odd that the Ford service shop would have a Ford in it....

OMG!! A Ford Dealership Service area with a Ford truck in it?? Say it's not so?!?

Obviously,95frd, you're not reading much on here are you? Yes, the 6.0's have some problems. So do the 7.3's. Also, surprise, surprise, so do the gassers. That's probably because sites like this are for people having an issue to come and see how to deal with their problem.

Sorry if that post seemed sarcastic but some of us on here call posters like you trollers. That means you come into a forum and make a post like you made titled "6.0 Junk?" to stir others up.

These forums are for actual questions. That's not what yours was. You want to ask something specific, then do so. Stick to what forums like this are for.

You need to read the site more and talk to more people in Western WA. I bought mine because people in Western WA, and Idaho recommended it!

Did you see the post that said two different low mileage Cummins/Dodge trucks blew up recently? Those trucks must be junk!

I've always place junk into 2 different catagories. 1. It's something people don't like. 2. It can't be repaired without being remanufactured.

The 6.0 is not junk. It just requires a different driving style than many people are not used to.

Yea the 6.0 had a few problems when it was first released. But FMC has fixed alot of the bugs in the engine. I doubt the 7.3 was perfect when it was first released. It just takes time for Ford or any Auto Co. to work out all the issues with a new engine.

Ford sells a Super Duty with a 6.0L engine?

Is this a new engine? How come nobody told me?

I'm always the last to hear about these things!

Is this engine gas or diesel? 'Cause I don't want one of those nasty, smoke-pouring-out-of-the-tailpipe, cause of global warming and birth defects, oil burning, won't start in cold weather, can't get out of their own way, slow as pond water, diesel things!

no im not trying to stir the pot. it was a question. i dont see near the problems on here. thats why i put a q? and did not state they are junk. i just see alot of injectors and turbos going out on the 6.0Ls and there are hardly any 7.3's going into the shop as 6.0L. i dunno maybe my luck is i just see all the problems and listen to the mechanics too much. i mean what would they know. they just repair the problems.

Have you spoken to any Dodge and GM mechanics? I bet they repair some diesels, too. But, what would they know.
