Carb spacer

Guys.... I was curious to know of any advantages to having a carb spacer that has 4 holes in the center, or one large hole for all 4 butterflies?

Currently I have a 4 hole.

Thanks and Happy Firday!

The 4 holer helps low end torque and the single big on helps top end horsepower. And on a stock or near stock motor you will never notice the difference.

OK, thanks Bear. My motor is a near stock motor.

Also, what about spacer or no spacer? I just have always ran one, and have heard that it helps out with fuel burning process. Hence a smoother running engine. Bunch of horse schit blowing in the wind or what?

No spacer puts the carb right next to the manifold and that can transfer more heat to the carb. Carbs and heat are a no-no. I removed mine and installed a heat sync spacer set just because less heat is better. I prefer a space as long as I'm not running a manifold with very tall carb mount pad.

It's sometimes necessary to run a spacer to gain clearance for the carb linkage. Use the 4 hole.
