I am restoring a 61' Econoline PU and am in need of a number of items. (1) wiring diagram.(2) Shop Manual for this specific model, if one is available? (3) Any info on a Ford 200 CI six cylinder motor, Specs, etc.
Hello gsadow, have you looked on e-bay? I bought a 5 volumne set of 1978 ford truck and bronco shop manuals on there for a reasonable price. If any one here does'nt have them, you might want to see if someone on there has some for sell. Just a thought. Rob
First order of business is to thank Rob for pointing me in the right direction for a shop manual for my 61' Econoline PU. scored one and it has been a great help.
Next order of biz. Can someone tell me what model years are mechanical part and body part swapable for my project. I am shooting in the dark here, but I think 1961 to 1965 Econoline vans might work since they seem to be more prevalent than PU's.
I have some cancer around the lower L&R rear corners. My thought was to cut these sections out and replace them from vans.
61 thru 67 Ford Vans will interchange. Ford came out with the newer model as a 69 model in late 68 (technically, there were never any 1968 Vans)Also, try looking around for some early Falcons as a source of drivetrain parts. Body parts for these unibodys can be tricky to come by. Stock radio will interchange with 61-66 trucks, but not much else will, except for some small stuff...
