I have been noticing lately after I shut the vehicle down, and I am quite in the cab, I hear a dripping noise. It sounds as tho its coming from the passenger side, but inside the engine compartment area, but something is deffinately leaking for the past few months. What could it be?
If your fluid levels are staying up than I would think It is oil dripping off covers and returning to pan. If no puddle under truck and no fluid loss. What else could it be?
I would suspect the air conditioner condenser dripping water. Usually they drip thru a tube and out onto the pavement. Sometimes the tube gets clogged and then the water drips somewhere under the dash on the passenger side. Check the carpet in that area to see if it is wet.
ummm? yes, that is definitely another possibility. I just had that issue with my vette this summer. The little hose got clogged and I had a floor board full of water. Its amazing how much condensation comes from that AC. This problem never had a sound though.
My first guess is still the heater core, just d/t the fact that there is noise. My truck makes a little "water flowing" noise too when I turn off the engine, but it doesnt really leak (or at least I havent noticed it yet).
Yes, the passender side carpet is always soaked. I always hear a noise to when I am driving , sounds like crackling under the dash, sounds like AC lines, But why making those noise when I dont even have the AC or heat on??
