slip yoke question

I would get a new yoke, and put new u joints in, and send it to a shop for balancing, you could just replace the whole thing, but i would say its unnecesary, unless its visually bent. With a new yoke, and u joints, and fresh balancing your sure to eliminate any vibes from the rear shaft for sure.

Take it top a good drive line shop, they will cut the old slip joint off and weld a new one on ,rebalance it and you will be good togo. Also if the drive line is bad they will let you know.

I just looked and saw he has the same wheel base as i do, meaning probably the same style shaft (slip shaft, NOT a slip yoke) which makes the above statement correct, and mine not. Just so you know, a driveshaft that extends in the middle is a "Slip shaft" type drive shaft. A drive shaft that has a yoke on one end, that either slides into a transmission, transfercase or another shaft(long *** wheel base trucks) is a slip yoke style. My information was given based that you had a slip yoke style.
