slip yoke question

is the female part of the slip yoke suppose to have 2 teeth missing across from each other . i posted the other day about a vibration in the rear and tracked it down to the slip yoke . if you grab the drive line , you can move it back and forth alote , i greased the heck out of it and it still does it . think i need a new yoke ?

Mine has the two teeth missing as well. I think it is normal. There is a blue coating on the male end of the slip yoke, does your's still have it?

id say it was time for a shaft then...the shaft should not be sloppy enouph to fall out but it does need to slide in and out with a little effort like a shock..

When I had my drive shaft apart two weeks ago the splines were very snug. Absolutly no slop side to side. And it was a bit of a tug to get the two halves apart.
If my shaft was as sloppy as yours is, I would be replacing it.
