I just got a new car, a 70 Galaxy 500. It's in pretty decent shape, needs paint, and a little engine work, but overall not bad.
Is there a site that handles these older cars, and who online would supply repro or aftermarket parts for this? I need little things, like armrests, control *****, and the plastic gauge covers. Not to mention I want to get rid of the front drums ASAP.

Disc brakes were available on the 1970's, the brakes are essentially the same since 1967.
Jared, one of the best places i have found for galaxie parts is autokrakters. and they are a F.T.E. sponsor also.
besides new parts, they have a good collection of used parts in their warehouse and cut-up yard.
I think autokrafters is a good place also for good quality parts.

From personal experience of owning two 1963 Galaxies, I recommend both Dearborn Classics and Auto Krafters. The Galaxie Club of America also offers unique items.
I'm a member of both the Galaxie Club of America, and an independent local club, SoCal Galaxies.
I've got a 1961 Galaxie that's all original (never been restored) but luckily, I haven't needed any parts, except a battery, and NAPA had the OEM battery for it.
I got a pic of it today: http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m...axieresize.jpg
It needs paint, and it has a bad head gasket. I'll probably get some new coils to get it closer to stock height, I can't tell if it's sagged or lowered. Probably both. I'm going to paint it the original red color, with a white top, but I can't figure out what to put on it for rims. I'm thinking Torque-Thrust D's, maybe the grey center ones, or Cragar SS's, possibly Cragar Street Stars. I need to find something that will compliment this car with an otherwise mostly stock look.

How about Magnum 500's? They look good, are period, and were a FoMoCo optional wheel beginning in 1969.
Yeah, I looked at those Magnum wheels, and they just have a bit too much of a campy 70's look to them. I like the chrome spoke as a starting point, but I'd rather have a regular spoke than a spoke and flat arrangement.
