Any Suggestions
I was just reading some old posts and wondering if anybody is running anything other than Bilsteins or Ranchos on there 05-up F350's. I am am looking at getting new shocks all around because my fronts are leaking now and would like some suggestions and comments on other brands. Has anybody tried pro-comp or monroe shocks. I need a longer than stock int he front, My truck is an 06 F350 with a leveling it. Thanks for any comments.

Bilstein will be hard to beat by anyone else, but here's the brake down. Procomp MX6000 is thier highend and the es3000 is thier base model. Either would be a good shock, but not as good as a bilstein. I would steer clear of the monroe's esp if you have a larger tire . they are decent on passenger cars, but a big truck tire will overwelm monroes in short order.

ReAx: I am only bringing this up for clarification, Pro-comp makes an ES1000, which is designed as a heavier duty factory replacement shock. I very much agree with you re: everything else. I like the ride of the ES3000, rides better than the Rancho RS5000, but have found that they leak kinda quickly. My brother runs the Pro-Comp xtreme reservoir shock on an 06 PSD, with a 4" lift. He seems very pleased with them. Now, the MX-6, is a great shock, but it is starting to get into racing shock money. For that kind of dough, a FOX, or King would be the way to go. These are rebuildable, and the seals can be replaced, and since they are a nitrogen shock, they can be tuned for a veriety of driving styles, with a combination of different weight oils, and pressure of nitrogen. These are the babies I like. If you really think about it, since they are rebuildable, they are worth the money in the long run. You may have to re-build one, but you may never have to buy one again.
