For those that don't mind the darkside. I have finally created a couple of albums in my photo gallery of our '55 F100 work in progress. Boy, does it take a long time to download these with a dial-up connection. I've got more detailed pictures of the construction that I have to get digitized.
That's nice nothin wrong with the dark side. I'm putting a 350 TPI in my 50f1, We just know what we like and we put it together to suit us......... RUSTY
My 56 will finish out with similar mods: bed walls, drip rail, cowl vent, shaved, filled louver panel, etc. Didn't have guts enough to try the hood pancake/section or the chop, though.
You sir are a brave man to show a Mopar engine going into a Ford. At least on this website. I have to admit, it does look like a nice project. Good work.
Bruce, did that motor come with jumper cables? lol. Just kidding, I love any big motor (Bobby's Caddy is cool). It's neat to see your son working with you, those memories will last a life time. Your truck is bad a$$.......
!. It's not a Chevy, that counts for something, what I don't know.
2. If you're going to cut up a perfectly good Truck, you have done so Perfectly.
3. Your Son has blown the Image of Today's Youth out of the water.
4. These moments that are happening will never be lost.
The title to this thread just sucks you right in like a moth to a flame. You can try to avoid it, pretend its not there, but in the end it will draw the full gamut of readers.
I know, i know, you did the right thing, you tried to warn them, to spare them the agony and pain, the misery of seeing a truck that is slightly (and I used that word loosely here) different from what Ol Henry had in mind but they will come anyway...
I think you and your son are doing an awesome job! You're not only building a fantastic truck but a lifetime of memories. The kid has some great ideas and does some incredible work. Make sure to give him huge thumbs up from all of us. And a big thumbs up for you as well. What a great father and son project, huge meats and a mail slot back window, whats not to like? That big Mopar ought to really spin those meats around!
It looks as if you have some other interesting projects in your shop as well, looks like a great little coupe in the background
Thanks for sharing the pics with us and giving us an update. Frosty beverages for all (none of the barley flavored ones for the youth though)
Bobby
That's cool! Creating a great truck and teaching/sharing your ihobbies and nterests with your kid-It doesn't get much better than that. Keep up the good work and keep updating your gallery.
Good Luck!
Looking very good! I like what you've done with the front end especially. I like the 55's anyway, but I think you guys have improved the way the design flows.
