Gas pedal ?

Started out making the clicking or ratcheting sound once in a while, now it does this all the time. Pedal also has a mushy feel to it. thanks....

Is the clicking coming from the pedal?? My truck clicks too, but it is coming from the front driver's side wheel, and only in 4x4. Also there is about a 1.5" dead spot in the pedal before you get going.

It is coming from the pedal and it also has that same dead spot you mention. Truck is a 05 s.crew 4x4 28000 miles.

I think the dead spot is standard, I have driven 3 '04 SD crew cabs and they have all had the same spot, I hate it, but I live with it! And now I am curious about my wheel in 4x4, I just bought the truck 1 month ago with a brand new front end in it, you would think they would check over the 4x4 before selling a damn superduty!?!
