Not sure you need to remove the GP's maybe just the wire harness to them.
Remove as much oil as you can from the recesses in the head so the oil doesn't fill the cylinders with too much oil. It's possible to hydraulic lock the engine.
1-2-7-3-4-5-6-8 Firing order
right bank numbered 1, 3, 5, 7 and the left bank numbered 2, 4, 6, 8

hydro locking is why they say to remove the glow plug. get most of the oil out of the cyclinder then install injectors and remove all glow plugs and crank the engine over. that will get most all the oil out.
