looking for part #

Help, please. Does anyone know where I can get a throttle position sensor for a reasonable price. I have gone to http://www.discountfordpartsaty2kford.com and they want $400 + for the sensor/pedal assembly. The part number is 9F832 for the sensor. The pedal assembly part number is 9F836. I don't really want to buy a used/preowned sensor/pedal assembly from a salvage yard. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

That seems high compared to whats normally posted for the throttle assy. Have you called the local dealer?

yup the locals around here the stl mo area want $770.00 but said the could give me a deal at oh around $680-$700. Such a deal. I guess I'm just a bit aggitated for the cost of a sensor.

And the fact that you dont know FOR SURE that it will fix your issue. That link to ebay I gave you the other day did say it would fit a 94-97 7.3 powerstroke. For $20 it might be worth it to try and "rig" it to fit, and see if it fixes your problem.

well foreman I'm 99% sure that is the problem, cuz I put my buddies pedal assembly on my truck and my truck ran fine. I also put my pedal assembly on his truck and he had the same problem I have with the tps. The other problem with that sensor foreman that you sent me the link to, is the outside of the plug is rectangular with the center being oval. The plug on the truck is oval outside and inside. So I don't know what to do right now. I am a bit short on funds at the moment. I guess I'll be dropping some cash down for whole thing.

I would check with local salvage yards. You should be able to get the pedal assembly pretty cheap.

Yeah plow I found one at a salvage yard today. Got it for $25. I had a hard time finding one though. Our trucks are hard to find parts for here in the midwest. I would assume it would be like that everywhere. Truck runs like a champ now no more stuttering.
