I would think the trucks must meet side impact standards. You should be able to check those online somewhere. I can tell you the rear doors of the SuperCab are pretty stout as are the attach points and latches. I figure even in the SuperCab I am bigger then most on the road and should be safer then most. I spend a lot of time on the road in both trucks and feel plenty safe in either.

I don't think a crew cab offers much better rollover protction. I've seen the with the roof crushed down to the seats also.

For that matter I've seen regular cabs with crushed roofs, but not as bad.
