I have a 2002 7.3L with a TS6 controller with a AFE intake a straight pipe exhaust and my boost gauge read about 8# max and egt climb pretty fast. Does this sound like a bad actuator.I have my boost gauge line tee on the intake where the wate gate actuator line plugs on.

No, not necessarily. How long have you had the gauges installed, and when did the low boost numbers start?
Does it run/accelerate fine? EGTs will come up but shouldn't sky rocket? Is your boost ref Teed into the black line to the intake or the red one? Also, if either, why is it there?
Finally, if your EBV is activating, you will get lower boost and EGTs will come up quicker.

First I just installed the gauges yesterday
Second yes it runs good crusing 600 to 700 but if realy get on it it will climb to 1200 in less than 1/4 mile probally egts are pre turbo.
Third I unplugged my red actuator line from intake and put rubber line on nipple on intake then plugged tee in then plugged red line back on tee. Reason for that that was all I had at the time to hook it up. I plan on moving it too the the map line .
finally I am not sure what the EBV is .

There is your reason for low boost numbers, you will not get a true boost reading from there. It needs to be on the map line or AIH delete fitting. The TS chip will give you rapid EGT increases, just what I had until I changed to a DP Tuner flip chip, then the EGT's were lowered with Jody's tunes.

That was where I was going Guzzle. Been watching football. I have not noticed a major issue with my TS EGTs but since you have had both, I will accept your observations.
Edit: BTW, I meant green line to intake or red line in my other post. Black line at MAP would be correct.

I don't know if I would call the EGT's with the TS 'major', as I have kept a close eye on the pyro with both due to the lead implants that are in my right foot......
I just noticed that Jody's wouldn't reach the 1250º mark quite as quickly....
