Highest lift for 5th wheel

Highest lift for 5th wheel
Just a quick question. I have a 2005 F-250 4x4 and am considering a 3 inch lift just to give it a better look. The only problem with that, I want to eventually add a 5th wheel. I know that I cannot even think of using a 6 inch lift but just wandering if a 3 inch lift will still let you be compatible with a 5th wheel trailer. I know I have seen slightly higher trucks than mine pulling goose neecks and 5th wheels. Advice??

Most pin boxes are adjustable but you only have so much room between the trailer and the bed rails.
If I remeber right 47-48" is about average pin height.
3" lift will depend on the trailer. I have same truck as you and I know I couldn't go 3" . My trailer would be too high in the front . I had to lower my hitch as far as I could to get mine as close to level as I could. I have about 4" between bed rail and trailer. I had to remove my tool box with this trailer but my old trailer cleared the box .
If you planning on a trailer I would not lift the truck esp. a 4x4 sits higher anyways.

I have no lift on my F-550 and I had to adjust everything to the highest, and lowest settings where applicable just to get the trailer to ride level. Hitch to the lowest, pin box to the highest, axles to the highest, springs to the lowest hole in the frame, etc.
Measure carefully before you buy that lift.

I just purchased a new 2006 xlt 250 sd 4wd with 9200gvw package & snow plow package, here is my question my old thuck was a 99 250 light duty 2wd which was 5" lower than the 06. I am pulling a 2000 25' nomad 5th wheel, my hitch is set all the way up. Is this going to work or will I need to have my axles fliped. Sounds like that it maybe a little pricey. Or should I trade for travel trailer and us a equalizer hitch. Any in put would help, planning a trip to Alaska this summer (June)

Kwik, how did you adjust the "springs to the highest"? Did you add some additional shackles or something to the trailer springs or have some other way of doing it? I have seen this "Flipping the Axel's" but I'm jut a little worried on doing this as the manufacture said that it would "void the warranty. Having some issues with my fingers and the CRS things....sorry.
