valve cover gaskets

valve cover gaskets

hi everyone looks like a sprung a leak. valve cover on the side near the back on the pasenger side. i guess i'll try to tighten it a little 1st ,if that doesn't work which gaskets are the best? thanks norm

I would go with felpro gaskets. Thats the only brand I buy. They arent overly expensive, and they always work great.

is there any one else besides flepro? i have them on now and torque cover bolts to spec and 2 months later leakin angain?!

You could try Mr. Gasket company, or ROL, at rolmfg.com, or Federal Mogul, and Clevite. I like Felpro, especially since they supply permatorque gaskets to NASCAR, but you can choose what you like. Try Mr Gasket

If you do them to specs, then again a week later they should be good. Always check them as they are on a diesel and vibration, pressures and heat will affect them.
