Threshold plastic molding?

I just noticed today that my supercrew doesnt have a piece of plastic over the threshold (covers the paint) on the passenger side like it does on the drivers side. Is this the norm or did they miss it at the factory?

Yea... it seems to be a common thing for the XL...XLT guys... but I don't know about the Lariat and other "Special" trim packages...

I think there was a lenghty thread on this very thing... iirc there was a few that found aftermarkets that work just as well.. and look better.

My Lariat came w/ the one POS sticker too on the driver's side, so I bought the Step Shields like Nassty did. You'd swear they were from the factory by how well they blend with the edging just inside the door, at least in my black interior truck. Definitely worth the $40.

Yeah, I posted about this several months ago on another site. Ford must be really saving alot of money leaving this off. Strange is that some trucks have both while others have just the one on the driver's side.

Yes, but the POS sticker one does't collect dirt/salt ect like other covers do.

I'd be interested in these as well. My XLT only has protection for the drivers door.
I did an eBay search with negative results.

I didnt have much luck trying to find them either but I did find them at the Moss Motors site
http://www.f150store.com/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=44782&WebCatalogID= 27&PlateTypeID=1
However they say they only go up to a 2004, so I dont know if they are the same or not.
Anybody else got any links to where to pick these up at?

On another note, can I just order 3 more thru ford so they all match? Any Idea how much they are?

Thanks for the info guys. I looked at all of those links and for me it looks like MOSS has the best bang for the buck, so far. The shields themselves actually look better from MOSS over the ones Summit offers IMO, and they're substantially less since Summit charges a handling fee ($10) over and above the actual shipping cost to Canada. MOSS only appears to charge the actual shipping cost, plus the initial cost of the shields is about $10 less.

That picture on Summit isn't accurate, it's "representative". Nassty's picture is exactly what they look like.

Okay, so they look identical to the MOSS shields then. I'll have to call my Ford parts buddy and see what he can get them for.
