Okay, I am getting ready to pull the trigger on a Magnaflow exhaust for my new '06 King Ranch supercrew. I am trying to decide between the Magnaflow dual side exit (front of tire) or the single rear exit (behind the tire). Anybody have an opinion on which is better and why? Thanks!
I have the duals that exit out the front of the tire, i went with it because it looks good, and because i wanted something different then just the duals out the back..
I have the standard magnaflow SISO in mine. I wouldn't change it at all. Everyone has duals out the back anymore, and I don't want to deal with exhaust when hooking the trailer up. I would wonder if the interior noise level would be higher with the exit in front of the tires. I assume it would.
I have an old F-150 with dual side outs behind the tires and like it. I wouldn't put side outs in fornt of the tires because the exhaust makes the wheels look like crap. I have seen this on the newer body style lightings and other stock 97' f-150s, single out pasenger side infront of the wheel and that wheel is always in bad shape. A roomate of mine in college had a 97' F-150 with the side out in front of the wheel and it corroded that wheel badly. Also your in the cab noise level will be significally higher.
If you love the sound of a V8, then you have to get duals of some kind. The harmonics of duals is totaly different than single exhaust. Try to imagine one person singing alone, then two people singing in unison.
