I will vote with quicklook2 on this one, he has it right.

If you can not pull codes and the fuel pump comes on and runs and stays running without the engine running is a sure sign of a bad EEC Computer.

Note that the fuel pump relay is made by the EEC Computer grounding its coil and also the fuel injectors open by being grounded by the EEC computer. Maybe every thing the computer can ground is grounded in this condition.

Also very hi fuel pressure is not good if you have two fuel tanks as it will take out the hi-pressure check valve in the non running fuel tank and the running fuel pump will get hot under the load of the hi head.

im thinking the computer also..i started it up this morning and kept it running..the check engine light went off and the engine quit smoking and ran smoothly. the light came back on 30 seconds later and it started smoking and died..im going to look for a new computer and hopefully that will fix it

pulled the eec apart the caps were fried..put a new computer runs like a champ..thanks all for your input!
