Hey all , I'll try to keep it short..Some of you may remember me .. The meteor truck.. Well after countless times for having this back and fourth to the dealer I'm about ready to grenade this thing. I just got it back after 3 days in the shop for screwy idle along with stalling and somewhat of a situation when cruising it acts like the key was turned off then on again. Well they can't find anything no codes nothing so I pick it up today go about 3 miles and darn if it didn't studder from a stop.. Then wife and I go to bass pro shops about 13 miles one way and it just hesatated like 4 times then i get this awful feeling like the tranny is coming out. Needless to say i'm not impressed with dealer they put a total of 58 miles on between 3 guys with laptop hooked up and none of them felt anything or saw anything but I go 3 miles and it acts up..Man whats up? In august it did the same thing on vacation and that dealer put a pcm and a tbps in it.. Anyone else experience this? Oh by the way I do have an edge that is in tow mode and I even pulled that and sent back and they bench tested it and it was fine this was in november so now I 'm just P*****D off.. Mike.
Yes, try to get a tech with you in the vehicle. I had the rear diff doing that shimmy thingy, I told the dealer numerous times, they replaceed the seal said it was AOK... No way, complained the service rep asked for to take an hour or two early in the morning and I drove the tech and low and behold there was the simmy. Needless to say, it was repaired. But my only gripe is that they used a white sealant for the rear diif cover...
Oh well, I have 31K miles and the warrantee ends real soon...
We'll see how tough built these 04 f150's really are...
I can't think why plugging in the laptop would fix it. But I would borrow their laptop. Tell them, you just need their laptop for a short test to see if the laptop is providing a proper ground or a proper voltage to some circuit thereby fixing the problem. Let them ride along if they like. If it works, thank them for the fix. Would not that be fair.

Reason: clarity
Well as far as having the edge in it does the same thing just makes it more pronounced.. Edge has been out for a few weeks after returning back to stock and still does it, it is an intermediate thing. I will be on the phone tomorrow if not missing work and being there this has been going on since about 27,000 miles now it has 36,566 and I can actually hear it in the exhaust when it does it. ( flowmasters) but I did notice one thing it is worse as the tank gets down around a 1/4 tank maybe a pump problem who knows. I'll try to keep you guys updated . I did buy an 06 mustang , at 1800 miles it went into failsafe mode with the wrench light on they replaced tbps and never looked back . go figure...
thanks guys..
