help please

my block heater is not working on a 97 F350. I see the male plug in the grill but I can't trace it back. I'm hoping that the wires have rotted and I just need to redo them. Any one know where they go back to?

They go on the engine block somewhere. shouldn't be too hard to find from the wheel well with tire off maybe.

if I'm not mistaken I think the heater is somewhere around the oil cooler on the driver side of the engine, but I'm not sure.
