No pressure in cooling system

Just changed a water pump and can't find any leaks but when I squeeze the upper hose it's soft and when I remove the cap it barely produces a hiss. Does the system need to be bleed? I have heat in the cab and the highest temp I could get was 191F when running it hard. It would drop back to 165 at normal driving. I have a winter cover on the grill. Coolant level hasn't dopped from where I filled it to. Is this normal?

Yeah it's acting like I'm loosing an injector. I guess. Had a exhaust back pressure sensor error and fix that $115, but it still drags like a cylinder isn't firing. Guess I'll have to have that checked after I get the tranny put in.

Mine has just the oem gauge also, but has always run cool, i.e. right around the "N" and "O" in NORMAL. The thermostat should be a 195.

I just changed the water pump in my 95 f350 psd last weekend. Have the same concern but beleive this is norml as it has always run cool like travisd's rig around the N in Normal.
