Cup holder

I know I read on here before I can order a different year front cupholder for my 2000 X. My interior color is the beige color. I searched for cupholders and found pages of threads. Is there a way to search just the X forum ? I keep getting the entire site and that is too much info !

Just order the one from an 03 and you'll be safe.

On the main Excursion forum page on the right hand side you'll see "SEARCH THIS FORUM". Click on that. If you look on THIS page where it says RATE THIS THREAD, the SEARCH THIS FORUM link is in the same area on the main Excursion forum page. Make sense?

Like Monsta says, get an 03.

I got one for my 2000 X (beige) from the local Ford Dealer (Kimnach Ford) for $15. Even Ford was surprised they had anything available for just $15.

I've been very happy with the 03 cup holder. No more spilled drinks!!!!

Ford Part number and descriptor for the Excursion dark parchment cupholder insert upgrade to help your local parts dept locate it:

1C3Z-3613562-AAA HLDR-BVRG CTR

For my 2000X, I ordered the 2002 deep cupholder insert (matching color) from the Ford Dealer ($25) that was redesigned (deepened) by Ford. Using the new replacement unit as a guide for where to pry outward on the existing cup-holder, I then simply re-installed the new one by pressing it back down into the existing floor console. Soda cans and coffee cups won't go flying off so easily now compared to the original stock holders for drivers in my family who fail to make use of the relatively hidden and safer pull-out drink holder unit located just below the radio.

Total install time 1 minute.

Thanks!

Do they make deep cupholders that replace the ones located at the rear of the center console? The ones in place for the second row passenger seats?

I ordered the above part number a couple weeks ago. Went to the dealer and picked it up. When I got home and opened it, it's the same damn one I have already ! I just checked the receipt and the part number is different :

YC3Z-3613562- AAA

The color is correct, but it looks like the stock holder. Can anyone confirm the above number ?

That part number on your receipt is the old part number. And apperently you can still buy the old version cupholders. One would think that part number would have been superseeded to the newer part number cupholder. Anyway here is the newer part number.

Yah! No more spill Burger King's king size or McDonald's super size drinks It only happen to me once when I was leaving the drive-thru window from Burger King, First turn I made, my king size drink spill all over my floor.

Are these cupholders black plastic with the color painted on? I have a very small nick in the paint on y center counsole lid and i see its black plastic underneath.

Im worried cause i usually throw my work keys in the cup holders but ive been trying not to in fear of scratching the paint off if it is painted. Ive been using the cd holder inside the ceneter counsole to hold my keys for now. At $15 bux i may just buy a spare for when mine gets all beat up from use over the years. Im kinda picky about lil stuff like that.

Yes, they changed them in 01. I suggested 03 simply so the parts guy couldn't possibly make any mistakes when he ordered it.

I should have listened ! I gave him the right part number, for what ever reason he ordered the old one. Also of note, he never asked me for the year.
