I don't know about the stainless part, but Mac's has the parts. Do like we did and ordered the catalog from them. It helps us to be able to see all the parts, fittings & everything else. We had some stuff missing and unidentified stuff that we've been able to find in the catalog. Also, it helps Steve fill out his wish list.
I've searched it hundreds of times, I'm looking for the two u shaped peices that screw into the indide of the cab and has the defrost ducts on them. Am I just going to have to salvage them? Or what is the technical part name for them?
Hey Clay - I finally got a chance to look through all my catalogs and you're right. They don't have the window frames. Even Steve went through all of them cause he swore that he seen them also. I even checked against the original parts # for the frames and no matches. Since your's is an F-3, I don't know if the cabs are the same as our F-1, but the orig. parts numbers are #7003591 (LH) #7003590 (RH).
We're going to a show & swap meet over Thanksgiving weekend, if you want we can look around otherwise, looks like you're going to have to salvage what you have.
The inner windshield frames are not being reproduced by anybody yet. Maybe someday, since a lot of the ones i have seen are rusted out from leaky windshield weatherstrip. They are the same for all of the 40-47 closed cab trucks. I believe the COE's had a swing out windshield, so forget those. But look in Hemming's, I've seen lot's of them listed by some of the old parts dealers in the Truck section. But they are kind of pricey if you buy them from them, something like $90 for the pair. I checked to see if I had any left over from the trucks I've parted out and worked on, but the only ones I have are severly rusted out, beyond repair. Hope you find them.
