flathead trans identification
I have a supposed flathead trans, how do I know what it is or what year, are the numbers in that era valid for id, The top cover has BB-7222 and the passenger side has 7006, 51, DG, M, N3 placed randomly on it, are these even ford #s or is this trans to something else? Thanks, jason marsh

Ford used Warner trannies with most if not all the flatheads. I don't know much about identifying them but if you have an MSN passport you can try...
