Well i went outside and took the tensioner off. I looked at it and the idler that is attached to it looks really funny, like it was not going around it perfectly, but like it was going on it at an angle. Another thing i observed was the tensioner looked bent. It isnt sitting in the spring part correctly and it angled so i belive this may be my problem.

Yup I'd say thats your problem.
As for the PS pump, its normal for them to have a little play forward-aft.
See your luck is getting better

Yup, new tensioner and no more problems.

well, i had a new one (practively at 100k but the belt was too hard to put on), but it looks like my water pump pully has pushed itself toward the engine. Last night i put on another tensioner and belt (had to loosen the alternator to get it on), and it's still squeaking.

can't wait to buy a water pump...

I think this is the mis-alignment i'm suffering.
