Well i have a 2000 f250.The other day i was sitting at a intersection and it died.now it wont start for my life.it will crank but will not fire.put new cam sensor, fuel system is all good.Any suggestions?thanks
All of the oil levels were good. The check engine light never came on.When I tried to restart it the wts light did come on and cycled. When it died it sluttered and missed.hopefully that can help yal
well we had a towed to a local shop.they hooked it up to see if it would throw any codes but didnt get anything.so they checked the fuel system, changed the cam sensor and there still no luck.they say may need new computer.
Have them ohm the harneses out under the valve covers before springing for an IDM. If the WTS light is comming on and going off at KEY ON the PCM is passing self test.
Okay, this is awkward what happened to my truck today. I cleaned the inside of my truck out, cleaned the floor windows the works. I go to start my truck to leave and notice fuel pressure 0PSI with the key forward, so a red flag went up. I look for a WTS light, nothing. So i thought to myself, oh the fuse for the fuel bowl blew and i need to unplug the bowl. After checking every single fuse, and all tested good, i go to try it again. Still nothing cranked forever but nothing, so i go ahead and pulled the fuel heater plug anyways, and then there was fuel pressure and the WTS light, and she fired right up. Anyone got ideas on this one? If it was shorting out shouldnt it have blown the fuse?

What kind of code reader did they use? This is very important before getting a new PCM which would be very rare. The majority of scanners/readers will not read our codes unless properly equipped.

Wow, and no, unless it was somehow overloading the lower PCM voltage through a short that wouldn't blow a fuse but upset the PCM. I'm all ears on this one.
not exactly sure, but i will find out first thing tomorrow.I was thinking it was kind of odd to need a new "computer" as they call it and wanted to try to do some research before a new one is bought. There is one good thing to it,that we just bought the truck last week and we talked to the first owner before us and he said he had no problems but will pay for whatever is wrong with it because he didn't know of any problems
