Are there any "unnatural" looking dents in the driver side intercooler pipe right where it makes the turn up that come from the factory, or are they supposed to be totally smooth? The reason I ask is mine has one in it now that I never recognized before. I just got my truck back from a shop and I suspect that were a little hard on the pipe when it was off. I have an Early 99 Crew Cab 4X4 Automatic. Thanks.
Thanks guys for setting me straight. I guess I just never noticed it before. It seems like there is plenty of clearance there even without the dent, does something like that affect the air flow at all?
The dent shouldn't hurt a thing until you start making some big power. Even then, it's probably not a hinderance. Look at Dockboy's truck. He run's high 11's, making 600+ HP, and still runs the stock tubes.
Also, I've had the aftermarket tubes from PDP. They were the Banks pipes. The fit was not good at all, and I ended up selling them and putting the stock ones back on.
