I'll start off by saying hi. I'm new to this site but could use some advice on a problem I'm having with my 04 f250 psd. I went out this morning to go to work it was about 19f outside. The truck would not start. It would turn over like always but would not start. So I read on this site about geling and changed the fuel filters and added an additive. The day before had no problems. This is the first problem with this truck. The truck has 49118 miles. Any isight to the problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
now about your truck, you said the day before it had no issues. what was the temp then? is your truck still a no start? see if the oil pressure gauge comes up after a few seconds of cranking. if it does not, then keep spinning for around 30 secs then back off and let the starter cool and try again.
The oil pressure guage does come up. The temp outside was about 60 yesterday. I live in southern california and freezing temps are not normal. The truck is still not running or after the filter changes does not want to even try.
remove the cap on the secondary filter on the engine. get someone to cycle the key and watch for fuel. if you have fuel flowing, plug up for another try in the morning. also you might want to get the new flash done where it buzzes the injectors if you havent already got this.
good luck, and youre welcome. i am usually on here throughout the day because work is slow right now so just respond back and see where we go from there.
