i have a 2000 f350 with a turbonetics turbo, in-tank and prepump mods, superchip tuner, 5" staright exhaust, intake, gauges, AIH delete. at higher rmp my truck almost seems to run out of fule, i was woundering if a reg. return kit would help this at all? also i heard a while back about someone comming up with a high output single hpop? did that ever happen?
Yes the Reg kit is a good thing, allows you to keep the fuel pressure around 70psi without issue. There is a single hpop from dieselsite but its been in the works for a long time... Are you setting any codes?

Are you sure it seems to be running out of fuel? How many miles on the truck? It could be defueling, boost leak, wastegate malfunction, a weak fuel pump, or even the not often heard of injecors getting tired. Even less often seen, HPOP not up to specs but more likely an ICP sensor or faulty IPR. No codes I take it?
Yes the fuel system is going to help. Those teeny 1/4" or smaller fuel lines and those small "check valves" in the head bosses really hurt flow. Eliminating them will get you alot more fuel available. Part of the problem of the truck falling flat on it's face may be the HPOP. Stay tuned.
I kinda noticed the same thing with my truck stock. And I could hear it int he exhaust. The exhaust sound would get fluttered and distorted above 2500 rpms. When I did the high rev valve spring kit. . . performed much better up high, and sounded wayyyy better. Just a thought. The stockers don't perform so well up high.

i took the truck to the dealer and told them to do a fule system shake down, no problems, so i will be installing a reg return kit soon, i cant really see pulling the heads to do valve springs without just pulling the motor and rebuilding it, but who knows?
ive read about a mod to up the pressure to 70psi, but im not sure how it is done, will the ITP kit do this for me? or should i do the shim mod and the reg. kit?
I would post the link to the mod and reply to your question but the site is so slow right now. I know it's not my connection or my teenage son wearing out WOW because everything else is running fine. Anyone else or just me?
Edit: Hey site is back up, let me get that link.

Like strokin-it said, this will boost pressure but the stock lines and those puny restrictors are a bottleneck. A reg return will eliminate those too without shimming but costs a lot more. I did a DIY system.

nice write up tenn
just for the record FTE runs slow sometimes on my puter as well..gets frustrating some times..
i shimmed the reg. no difference that i could tell, (i ended up taking it back out)
a better discription of what the truck is doing is:
when the truck is set in the middle superchip tune, at lets say 75-80 MPH and i am at half throttle then increase to full there is no increase in speed or engine RPM its not that the truck runs out of power; just wont pull any harder.
the same thing happens in the lower tune just later in the power band.
