i have been looking at buying a set of used king ranch wheels for my 2001. i know the backspacing is different and i cant run them w/o wheel spacers. i wanted to know if any of you guys have any input? what is the backspacing? i need to know what size wheel spacers i need.
have any of you guys experienced installing these wheels on a truck like mine? maybe a buddy's truck? thanks, any input will help.
Backspacing is the distance from the inner edge of the wheel to the hub mount pad. In order to get those wheels on your truck with spacers you would need to know the factory back spacing on your truck and the KR truck it came off of and then calculate the difference. That would be the size of your spacing.

i know what backspacing is and how to measure it. i'm pretty sure since all the KR wheels have the same backspacing since they are on the same trucks. i was wondering if anyone out there who has a KR truck might know what the backspacing is.

I just put a set of 2006 King Ranch 20" wheels on my 1999 F250 7.3L without using spacers and they fit fine. I did have to use the 99 caps though (any one want to buy a set of King Ranch hub caps?). Full lock turns rub on the springs a little, but the look sure is nice.
Whoa, easy there partner, he was just trying to be helpful, and you did say "any" input. Besides, "what is the backspacing" is easily misconstrued as a question.

sorry about that, i didnt mean to come off like a jerk. i understand that i didnt clearify my question.
the wheels i am looking at are the 18''x8'' KR. someone told me that they have 7'' of backspacing but i find that hard to believe since the wheels are 8'' wide? thanks guys for the input.

I have the stock 18" crome wheels on my 05 FX4.I like the wheels but the tires for them are not easy to find.Their were only two contenintal tires in memphis when I tried to buy 4.I also tried to find a different brand but no luck with load range E.
