I have a 01 f250 7.3 with 407K on it. still runs strong but it was a fleet truck and well maintained. I will be replacing the injector o-rings for good measure when i replace the glow plugs. I have more issues with body (chicago roads and winters) then the engine. That being said if anyone has front doors or tail-gate for 99-16 f250 let me know lol

'02 Excursion with 425k, recent purchase and no history on it. Quite a bit of wear on the hitch so it has towed. It leaks oil, injectors are worn and stick when cold. Compression sounds even, no smoke or excessive blow-by.

How long does a 7.3 last

how

my truck is a 1999 model 6 speed manual and apart from a clutch a alternator and replacing a few fuses just so they are fresh and working like they should my truck has gone 763419 miles on odometer as of today. Started it up and it purrrrrs like a top. It does not like a really cold start I need to change the glow plugs some time but basic maintenance oil changes tires and bam this motor still has equal compression on all cylinders and everything. I have upgraded to the T4 turbo from turbonotics and i make 40 psi of boost max when I need it normal every day driving 10 psi ish. And k have not had any issues like i said ....... if you take care of your truck and do basic maintenance and hanger things out every so often and keep it fresh bam your good to go. I am going for a million plus miles on my rig and I am never getting rid of it

No failures or repairs other than one clutch and one alternator in 763, 419 miles? I call BS. And double BS on replacing fuses just so they're fresh.

My first thought was that going 750,000 miles on stock injectors is amazing...

The I read further and thought what a coincidence this post is to a recent thread.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1559685-turbonetics-t4.html

Stranger things have happened, but still weird.

I glanced that thread and don't see the connection...?

760k on injectors seems impossible, as well as many other wear items. The engine internals, sure.

Maybe my conspiracy theory is too strong, but the Turbonetics T4 kit coincidence in regard to time of posting was a bit on the weird side for me personally.

Very possible, if it were maintained right. I should know look at sig, but there has been many, many repairs over the years on the truck when it was on the fleet very few on the engine though. I still have the stock tranny minus a triple disc TC and front and rear seals. Engine gave out at 820k
3 sets of injectors, 2 sets while on the fleet and the other when I went to stage one's.
engine was removed at 400k to reseal it, including new oil cooler. And many, many, many records of services done to it dating back all the way back 94.
But injectors lasting that long thats preposterous i dont buy it.

you can say what you want and believe what you want. I have nothing to hide, my truck has what it says drove it today and it now has 33 more miles to the odometer. It is and will continue to be a great running truck and I have been doing basic maintenance on it and I hade had to put clutches on it when needed I have a strict routine with maintenance to my truck and I make my own diesel fuel and I make sure I know what is going in the tank and what is going under the hood. So you can believe again what you want. Just asking what do you drive that makes it so hard to think my truck should not be able to have that many miles on it.

Ahhh, I get it. New guy, preposterous claim, and boasting the turbo....yup. And 40 PSI obviously requires mods that he didn't disclose so that ads to substantiate your suspicion. I gotta say, you're one fart smeller!

apart from a blow off valve that is electronic that is it so turn a **** and it makes it be able to build more boost or less boost that is the only mod and a aftermarket k&N air filter that fits in my factory air box a new alternator had one go out from auto zone and a new AC hose that goes from the dryer to compressor, fuses and the turbo up grade, that is it. I still have the factory Garrett turbo and all i did to it was the wicked wheel up grade. So other than that that is about it and all i have done.
