Driving home last night my battery light suddenly came on and the voltometer was down just below the N in normal ,so as usual I kept on driving figured I should be able to make it home. I was conservative with the accessories I didnot want to waste any extra Battery. All of a sudden the lights dimmed guages stopped and so did the truck. Anyway I tossed to other batteries in the truck and got it home the voltometer was still low with the other batteries. It seems like the alternator ,but I just wanted to check in case I was overlooking something thanks

I had the same thing happen last Wednesday. I kept my eye on it and it would come back up to normal for about 3 seconds then go back to crap. Replaced the alternator and all is well. I had it tested and he said it was putting out 8v, but then again it wasn't running for 1/2 hour either. But I would also advise checking wiring 1st though.
my a/c wasnt working and I went to have it recharged, turns out it was pretty much full still (the R134 gas) and a clip wasnt connecting very well due to a broken wire just inside the harness. So check the clips and wires...also get the output voltage tested.
